Immediate Start: Certified Asbestos Removal Worker (DAV-2) – Alphen aan den Rijn, Netherlands
Job Description:
Are you an experienced Certified Asbestos Removal Worker (DAV-2) who always puts safety first? For one of our clients, we are looking for a skilled and responsible professional with experience in the safe removal of asbestos-containing materials.
In this role, you will work on a variety of asbestos removal projects, including residential properties, commercial buildings and other structures. You will carry out your duties in accordance with the project plan, applicable laws and regulations, and the instructions of the Certified Asbestos Removal Supervisor (DTA).
Together with your colleagues, you will ensure that all work is performed safely, carefully and in compliance with established procedures. You will work at different project locations, ensuring that no two working days are the same.
What Will You Do?
- Prepare and set up asbestos removal work areas according to the project plan;
- Safely remove asbestos-containing materials;
- Work in compliance with applicable health, safety and environmental regulations;
- Correctly use personal protective equipment (PPE) and respiratory protective equipment (RPE);
- Safely package and prepare asbestos-containing waste for disposal;
- Inspect and maintain tools, machinery and safety equipment;
- Maintain a safe, clean and organised workplace;
- Identify and report irregularities and unsafe situations;
- Collaborate with the Certified Asbestos Removal Supervisor (DTA), site supervisors and other colleagues;
- Perform all tasks according to established procedures and work instructions.
What Do We Require?
- Proven experience in asbestos removal and remediation;
- A valid Dutch DAV-2 certification (Deskundig Asbestverwijderaar);
- A valid medical fitness certificate for asbestos removal work;
- A valid respiratory mask fit test (Face Fit Test);
- Knowledge of applicable health, safety and environmental regulations;
- Experience using personal protective equipment (PPE) and respiratory protective equipment (RPE);
- Ability to work independently, accurately and responsibly;
- Good physical fitness;
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude;
- Flexibility to work at different project locations.
