Information about the position:
For a leading project in Dutch yacht construction, we are looking for an experienced MIG/MAG Welder focused on building high-quality steel structures. You will work on luxury, custom-made projects in an innovative environment where craftsmanship and quality are top priorities.
As a MIG/MAG Welder, you will be responsible for:
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and welding instructions.
- Checking workpieces for shape, dimensions, and cleanliness.
- Positioning and securing workpieces when necessary.
- Applying the correct welding techniques according to quality standards.
- Performing visual inspections on welds for appearance, dimensions, and possible deformations.
- Removing slag residues, spatter, and brushing welds.
- Applying proper preheating temperatures when required.
- Gouging and grinding where necessary.
- Finishing welds precisely with attention to tolerances and structural requirements.

Requirements
- Proven experience in welding carbon steel.
- Experience with the following welding processes:
- MAG (FCAW / 135 – 136 – 138)
- SMAW / Shielded Metal Arc Welding (111)
- Skilled in the following welding positions:
- Butt joints: PA (1G), PC (2G), PE (4G), PF (3G)
- Fillet joints: PA (1F), PB (2F), PD (4F), PF (3F)
- Valid welding certificates issued by an IACS-accredited body (e.g. Lloyd’s Register, DNV, or Bureau Veritas).
- Certificates and stamp lists available at the start and uploadable via the portal.
- Good command of English or Dutch (Dutch preferred).
- Valid VCA certificate (mandatory).
